Our mission is “To work as one in helping animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance, while also supporting the people who love animals.” We are a 501(c)(3) mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. We have two locations, one in Evansville, Indiana and one in Chrisney, Indiana. We have helped over 10,000 animals since we were created in 2010.

Volunteers are always needed. Be a hero for homeless animals and volunteer.
Dog Day Out is a top choice. Spend time with our dogs outside of the shelter to provide a change of scenery and socialization opportunities. It’s super easy and fun!

Stay Connected
Antara is a sweet and inquisitive female tabby, born in May 2024. She was found as a stray in Spencer County at just 4 weeks old and has since been fostered at All Breed Grooming, Boarding, and Daycare. Antara is great with other cats and kids and is young enough to adapt to dogs. She’s also litterbox trained and ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a playful and curious companion, apply to adopt Antara at ITVrescue.org.
All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
Star is an adult female cattle dog mix who is now ready for adoption! She is sweet as can be and has quickly won over the hearts of all of our kennel staff. She has been described as a couch potato and is a little on the hefty side and could use an adopter who can give her a couple of extra walkies each day. She promises to repay you with cuddles and entertaiment! Star gives THE BEST smiles! This girl loves her stuffies and is quite fond of her flowered dog bed here at the rescue. Silver Birch of Evansville and It Takes A Village invite you to attend a Special Halloween themed Bingo fundraiser for It Takes A Village. This fun-filled night Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 5-7 pm will include 18 bingo games! Location is Silver Birch of Evansville, 475 S Governor Street, Evansville. Cost is $10 for 18 cards or $5 plus a wish list item including kitty litter, bleach, paper towels, laundry detergent, copy paper, dog toys, or trash bags. We will also have a split the pot raffle ($1 ticket or $5 for 6 tickets). Halloween themed appetizers will be provided!!

ITV will be having a Raise Some Dough fundraiser at MOD Pizza, 6401 E Llyod Expressway Suite C-102, Evansville, IN on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Come out and help the homeless animals of ITV while enjoying some great pizza!
~ MOD Pizza will donate 20% of their sales for the entire day (11 am - 9 pm) to ITV for every guest that gives them an ITV coupon or shows the coupon on their phone! Coupons can be printed from this page or picked up at the ITV Rescue Center (1417 N. Stockwell).
