Our mission is “To work as one in helping animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance, while also supporting the people who love animals.” We are a 501(c)(3) mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. We have two locations, one in Evansville, Indiana and one in Chrisney, Indiana. We have helped over 10,000 animals since we were created in 2010.

Volunteers are always needed. Be a hero for homeless animals and volunteer.
Dog Day Out is a top choice. Spend time with our dogs outside of the shelter to provide a change of scenery and socialization opportunities. It’s super easy and fun!

Introducing Jon, a handsome young adult male Heeler mix weighing 35 pounds. Originally found as a stray in Spencer County, Jon is now on the lookout for his forever home where he can share his boundless love and affection with a new family. Despite his rough start, Jon's heart is full of love, and he's eager to make new friends of all species. He's open to meeting dogs, cats, and kids, as his stray background doesn't tell us much. Jon's favorite pastime is being a cuddle bug, and he excels at melting hearts with his irresistible snuggles. Whether it's lounging on the couch or curling up in bed, Jon is happiest when he's close to his human companions, soaking up their warmth and affection. But don't let his love for cuddles fool you; Jon also has a playful side that he loves to indulge. He enjoys romping around in the yard, chasing after toys, and engaging in interactive games that keep him entertained and active. With his charming personality and affectionate nature, Jon is sure to bring endless joy and companionship to his forever family. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

Leroy is one of the dogs who benefited from your support of ITV! He is a special needs guy transferred from a partner shelter. We are delighted to report that he was adopted last week! Here is a picture of him being spoiled by his new mom!

It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue
The Board of Directors of ITV cordially invites all fosters, volunteers and supporters to a volunteer appreciation party at the Evansville Rescue Center (1417 N. Stockwell Rd) on Wednesday, April 24 from 4-7 pm. The Board wants to extend its sincere thanks for all the hard work our volunteers do. Stop by the rescue, grab a snack, meet other volunteers, meet some ITV animals and find out about upcoming events! Freebies and door prizes will be offered! If you are not yet a volunteer but are interested in joining our volunteer team, please feel free to stop by!

State Hospital Grounds
Don't miss the opportunity to participate in our 2024 Pictures in the Park! We are happy to give you an opportunity to have your own private session with photographer, Emilee Kerner! Photos will be at the Master Garden at the Evansville State Hospital grounds. The following dates are available:
Wednesday, May 8, 2024 - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, May 9, 2024 - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, May 18, 2024 - 12 pm to 4 pm
We will have limited private photo sessions available for your family or your animals. Adults, kids and animals are all welcome. For only $100, you will receive a 30-minute private session taking various shots in a beautiful outdoor setting. After the private session, you will receive a 5-6 digital poses. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A portion of proceeds with benefit the animals of ITV!! Only a limited number of slots are available each day so hurry to reserve your place!! Don't miss this chance to preserve your family photo in a great outdoor setting while helping the dogs of ITV!! Advance reservations are required. How to reserve your spot:
1. Email info@itvrescue.org with your preferred time and the date.
2. You will receive an email response confirming availability. Once you receive the response, you will have 24 hours to pay online at ITVrescue.org/#donate or paypal.me/itvrescue or Venmo @ITVrescue. Payment is due before your session will be confirmed. Any spots not paid for, will not be reserved.
