Our mission is “To work as one in helping animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance, while also supporting the people who love animals.” We are a 501(c)(3) mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. We have two locations, one in Evansville, Indiana and one in Chrisney, Indiana. We have helped over 10,000 animals since we were created in 2010.

Dog Day Out is a top choice. Spend time with our dogs outside of the shelter to provide a change of scenery and socialization opportunities. It’s super easy and fun!

Introducing Benji, a charismatic black and white coonhound mix born in May 2023, ready to wag his way into your heart. With his playful demeanor and affectionate nature, Benji is sure to bring endless joy and laughter to his forever family. Weighing in at 55 pounds, Benji is a bundle of energy who loves nothing more than engaging in playful antics and exploring the world around him. Whether it's chasing after toys, romping in the yard, or going for long walks, Benji is always up for an adventure. While Benji adores human companionship, he's best suited for homes with older kids who can respect personal boundaries. Benji is also available to meet other dogs and has shown himself to be friendly and sociable with his furry counterparts. As for cats, Benji's interactions are unknown, so intial cat testing can be done upon request. With his charming personality and playful spirit, Benji is sure to bring endless love and happiness to his forever family. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
🌈 We would like to take a moment to remember and bid farewell to a rescue cat named Blackie. 🐾 Sometimes, rescue only means we give them loving arms to die in. Blackie peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge at the remarkable age of 21. We found Blackie at Evansville Animal Control last month and we couldn't leave her there to die scared and alone. We were told she ended up there after her person died.
Blackie went to hospice care with one of our employees, Dayna. The day Dayna took her home, there was a rainbow in the sky. In the short month we had her, Blackie showered us with love and joy. She had a special fondness for her heating pad, cozy beds, and of course, sardine days! 🐟
Blackie was a social butterfly, always eager to be in the midst of everything happening around her. Whether it was cuddling with people or overseeing the other cat's grooming sessions, she cherished every moment spent with her newfound family.
In her final days, she was surrounded by love, just as we hope she had always been. Thank you to foster families like Dayna who give their hearts to rescue animals, even when that love means letting them die with dignity and grace. 💖🐾 #RememberingBlackie #RescueCatForever #ITVrescue

State Hospital Grounds
Don't miss the opportunity to participate in our 2024 Pictures in the Park! We are happy to give you an opportunity to have your own private session with photographer, Emilee Kerner! Photos will be at the Master Garden at the Evansville State Hospital grounds. The following dates are available:
Wednesday, May 8, 2024 - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, May 9, 2024 - 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, May 18, 2024 - 12 pm to 4 pm
We will have limited private photo sessions available for your family or your animals. Adults, kids and animals are all welcome. For only $100, you will receive a 30-minute private session taking various shots in a beautiful outdoor setting. After the private session, you will receive a 5-6 digital poses. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. A portion of proceeds with benefit the animals of ITV!! Only a limited number of slots are available each day so hurry to reserve your place!! Don't miss this chance to preserve your family photo in a great outdoor setting while helping the dogs of ITV!! Advance reservations are required. How to reserve your spot:
1. Email info@itvrescue.org with your preferred time and the date.
2. You will receive an email response confirming availability. Once you receive the response, you will have 24 hours to pay online at ITVrescue.org/#donate or paypal.me/itvrescue or Venmo @ITVrescue. Payment is due before your session will be confirmed. Any spots not paid for, will not be reserved.
It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue
Honor the special mother in your life while helping ITV with our Mother's Day Petals for Paws fundraiser. For $40, you can pick up a dozen roses, including a vase. Or order 3 roses with vase for only $10! The roses will show your support for homeless animals, making the roses much more meaningful to your loved one. The roses will be available for pickup on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Roses are handpicked, 16-18" stems with a bloom diameter of 2.5" - 3.5". The roses are a yellow based bud.
