Our mission is “To work as one in helping animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance, while also supporting the people who love animals.” We are a 501(c)(3) mostly volunteer, no-kill rescue. We have two locations, one in Evansville, Indiana and one in Chrisney, Indiana. We have helped over 10,000 animals since we were created in 2010.

Volunteers are always needed. Be a hero for homeless animals and volunteer.
Dog Day Out is a top choice. Spend time with our dogs outside of the shelter to provide a change of scenery and socialization opportunities. It’s super easy and fun!

Huge shout out to Larissa Lanham at Main Street Pet Parlor LLC for grooming all the puppy mill survivors we took in this week!! They have now all been placed in loving foster homes after being freshly groomed! We are so grateful to Larissa and the foster homes who stepped up in a big way this week! We could not do it without you!!
In honor of Mother's Day, let's celebrate the incredible bond between these nurturing mothers and their precious offspring.
First, there's Mixie, a gentle soul with a heart as warm as the sun. She's the devoted mother of two adorable babies. Mixie's love knows no bounds as she cares for her little ones, guiding them with patience and tenderness through life's early adventures.
Then there's Marianne, Marianne is a loving mother to her three babies, showering them with affection and teaching them the ways of the world.
Last but certainly not least, there's Evangeline, a beacon of maternal strength and love. With five little ones under her care, Evangeline embodies resilience and devotion, ensuring each of her babies feels cherished and protected as they grow and learn.
Together, these wonderful moms exemplify the beauty of motherhood, showing us the power of love, patience, and selflessness. Today and every day, let's honor and celebrate the incredible mothers like Mixie, Marianne, and Evangeline, who shape the lives of their babies with boundless love and unwavering dedication. Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms out there! Join us for opening week with the Evansville Otters! Watch the Evansville Otters take on the Joliet Slammers on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Tickets are FREE and available at the rescue center, 1417 N Stockwell Rd. We get a donation for each ticket that comes through the gate so bring your friends!! We will also be promoting ITV and adoptable animals at the event. Bring your pup out for a day at the park with the Evansville Otters!! Gate opens at 11 am.
Rockin' for Rescue King & Queen Contest

Introducing ITV's Fifth Annual King and Queen Contest! What is a pawty without a Royal Court? We need you to select a King and Queen to preside over our Rockin' for Rescue on June 15, 2024 at Warehouse 410, Evansville. The male animal and the female animal who receive the most votes will be crowned King and Queen, respectively. The winners will receive a crown, be our special guests at the Rockin' for Rescue (with their guardian) and receive a prize package. Finally, the winners will be featured on our social media pages regarding the contest.
We will also crown a Prince and Princess! The male animal and the female animal who receives the second most votes will be crowned Prince and Princess, respectively. They will also be part of the Rockin' for Rescue Royal Court as our special guest (with their guardian) on June 15 and receive a prize package.
We encourage you to enter the contest with your favorite photo of your pet and a few words about your beloved. Then invite your family and friends to vote for your photo! The contest is open to anyone and you may enter your photo for only $20. Your photo entry does not have to be of an ITV rescue. We welcome photos of all animals - beautiful and regal, silly and goofy, naughty and nice, rough and tumble, indoor snuggle bunnies and outdoor adventurers.
Rockin' For Rescue: An 80s & 90s Pawty presented by Lux Motors

ITV welcomes you to our TENTH annual event "Rockin' For Rescue: An 80s & 90s Pawty presented by Lux Motors!" Join us on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 6-10 pm CST at a brand new venue, Warehouse 410, 410 Carpenter Street, Evansville in support of It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue! This event is not to be missed! The theme this year is a 80s and 90s flashback so lets remember two great decades while supporting homeless animals! 80s and 90s music, flashback decor and guests are encouraged to dress like you did in the 80s and 90s!!
