How To Get STARTED?

Due to safety concerns, we cannot accept volunteers with the following background:

  • Animal cruelty or fighting charges
  • Domestic violence convictions
  • Theft, burglary, or weapon-related offenses
  • Registered sex offenders
  • Certain drug-related offenses

Doggie day out

Give a dog a break from the shelter—just for the day.

Looking for a fun and easy way to help? Join our Doggie Day Out program! You’ll give one of our adoptable dogs a much-needed adventure outside the shelter—and maybe even help them find their forever home.

How It works?

  • Bring your driver’s license to one of our rescue centers during open hours.
  • Sign a quick form to review the rules.
  • We’ll pair you with a dog.
  • Take your furry friend on an outing during open hours—go for a walk, hang at the park, or grab a pup cup!
  • Share their story! Post photos and info on social media, and tell friends and family to spread the word.

It’s that simple. One day out can make a lifetime of difference.
