Gumbo is a stew or soup of celery, onion, bell peppers, seafood, meat and spices. On Saturday, February 23, from 1 – 4 p.m., local non-profits will be at Franklin Street business and will give you the chance to sample dozens of amazingly different gumbos. You will be able to sample a small serving of every gumbo at each location.
Andrea Will (from the Sockwell Inn family) will be cooking up the ITV gumbo! We are so excited about our sponsor for this event – the new Amy’s on Franklin!! (1418 West Franklin Street).
The Not-For-Profits judging for best gumbo is done through the People’s Choice buckets; each $1 = 1 vote! The charity with the most money, wins the People’s Choice.
