We welcome younger volunteers. For the safety of our dogs and everyone involved, teenagers 14-15 years old must have an adult present while volunteering at the rescue center. Teenagers 16-17 years old may volunteer, but everyone under 18 years old must have their legal guardian sign a permission slip/release. We are sorry, but we generally cannot accept volunteers under 14 years old at the rescue center. ALL volunteers (community service included) are required to review ITV’s Volunteer Handbook and complete a short 10-question quiz, showing your review of the handbook. Volunteers are also requested to purchase our RED volunteer t-shirt (cost $20), which is available at the rescue center during open hours. There are THREE steps to follow to begin your volunteer experience with ITV:
- Sign up with Civic Champs and complete the volunteer application by clicking “Sign Up To Volunteer” below.
- Review the ITV Volunteer Handbook by clicking “Review ITV Volunteer Handbook” below.
- Complete a 10-question quiz showing you have reviewed the ITV Volunteer Handbook. Take the quiz by clicking the “Take ITV Volunteer Quiz” below.
Once you have completed these 3 steps, you are ready to begin your volunteer experience. You can log into your Civic Champs account and sign up for posted volunteer opportunities. For questions about our program, please email our volunteer coordinator, Pam at volunteers@itvrescue.org. Please note that we can only accept a limited number of volunteers on any given day so you must schedule a volunteer time via email prior to coming to the rescue to volunteer.
